1)Refer Head First Servlet and JSP.(the most interactive book ever for the Servlet and JSP)
a)Start with Head first.Divide this book in 3 main topics
i)Servlet
ii) JSP
iii) Security and Design Pattern
b) make seperate note book for these topics.
c) note down important points as well as bullets points given at the end of the
each chapters.
d) chapters 5 n 6 need special attention....try 2 explore each topic on internet n
notes down extra points. exmp...servletconfig vs servletcontext,
requestdispatcher vs sendRedirect
httpsessionBindingListenerhttpsessionListener etc.
e)pay attention on Servlet API......
i)servlet-->GenericServlet-->HttpServlet n thier methods
ii)ServletRequest-->HttpServletRequest n their methods
iii)ServletResponse-->HttpServletResponse n their methods
Draw there Diagrams.....
f) JSTL n Custom tags r very important including TLD Files
g) filters ,Design patters n web security....r very scoring from exam point of view.its
mainly theortical

2)Refer Hanumnath Desmukh.......
a)just go though it. quickly...n note down extra points which r not given in Head
First....
3) Read Head First twice n Hanumanth Desmukh Book once....thats more than enough
4) make 2 seperate note book for ....problems.......
a) 1st....containing servlet, Servlet Modle,filetrs ,design patterns,web security
b) 2nd ...for Jsp n custom tags,JSTL......
5)Now start solving problems ....Given at the end of each chapters....n note important
question ...section wise in the note book. (SCWCD exam is having limited sets of
mocks exams n Simulators, so first concentrate on therotical n conceptual parts n
then start solving problems.Dont directly jump into the problems, after raeding
each chapters.as afterwards u will feel all questions ur solving r repeated n u
already knw their answers).
